The 24 hours before an exam: a checklist

3 min read · 25 May 2026

Night before: light review of your weakest topic, no new material. Bag packed, calculator, two pens, water, ID. Phone on charge across the room.

Sleep is the highest-ROI revision activity in the final 24 hours. Tired brains don't retrieve facts.

Morning: protein breakfast, arrive 30 minutes early, skim your one-page summary once, then put it away.

In the exam: read every question twice before writing. Spend 1 minute per mark as a default. Leave 10 minutes at the end to check.
